MA graduate of the Jagiellonian University in Japanese studies (1999) and in Turkic studies (2002). PhD (2004) and habilitation (2016) in linguistics.

Field of research: Old and Classical Japanese, historical grammar and genetic relationships of Japanese, Old Turkic, Yiddish — philology, historical linguistics and etymology.

Published monographs: Japońskie klasy czasownikowe w perspektywie diachronicznej [Japanese verbal classes in a diachronic perspective] (2008), The inflexional system of Classical Japanese (2016).
